World magazine is a Christian news magazine, published in the United States of America. Based in Asheville, North Carolina, it is the fourth largest weekly news magazine in the US.[1]

World differs from most other news magazines in that it its perspective is one of conservative Reformed evangelical Protestantism. Its mission statement is "to report and analyze the news on a weekly schedule in an interesting, accurate, and arresting fashion, and to combine reporting with practical commentary on current events and issues from a perspective committed to the Bible as the inerrant Word of God."

Each issue features both national and international news, cultural analysis, editorials and commentary, as well as book, music and movie reviews. In addition to this, World also publishes an end of the year issue that covers the top stories from the previous year, obituaries, and statistics.

Launched by Joel Belz in 1986, the magazine started small, initially requesting donations in every issue to stay afloat. It has grown steadily ever since, and its publishers express hope of someday reaching the circulation level of the nation's top secular newsweeklies.[1]

Currently, Marvin Olasky is the magazine's editor-in-chief, with Gene Edward Veith as culture editor, Andree Seu as a columnist and John Piper as a frequent contributor. Cal Thomas was a frequent contributor.
