Working Mother magazine
Working Mother is a national consumer magazine that helps career-committed moms balance their personal and professional lives.
First published in 1980, Working Mother, was purchased by Working Mother Media in 2001. The magazine aims to support and empower today's working moms in their pursuit of success–however they define it. Three editorial sections wihtin the title– You, Work, Family–are focused on the complexity, humor and richness inherent in being a real working mom. And through several groundbreaking initiatives, Working Mother has positioned itself as a serious advocate for the issues that matter most to working women.
The annual October Working Mother 100 Best Companies issue has become an influential benchmark for companies who want to be recognized for their commitment to best WorkLife practices, and the groundbreaking Working Mother Best Companies for Women of Color has opened an dialogue on race, gender and ethnicity in the workplace.

With a stated mission to serve the personal, professional and family needs of all women, Working Mother Media encompasses Working Mother magazine, the National Association of Female Executives (NAFE) the Working Mother 100 Best Companies and the Working Mother Best Companies for Women of Color, along with our dynamic Conferences and Events Division.
Founded by Carol Evans in 2001, Working Mother Media is a multi-media company that provides strategies and solutions for millions of consumers, specifically working mothers and female business owners, as well as a corporate audience of CEOs, top executive decision-makers and human resources professionals. Working Mother Media offers a full complement of marketing partnership programs including print, custom publishing, broadcast, and on-line media; national, regional and customized conferences and events; and a membership association for women in business for our corporate partners to forward their messages to their specific target audiences.
Working Mother Media produces the 100 Best Companies WorkLife Congress, the Best Companies for Women of Color Conference, and Balance Seeker and Town Hall meetings internationally. And last year we launched our Working Mother Best Small Companies and Entrepreuneur Mom Awards to celebrate those companies of less than 100 employees.
MCG Capital–a financial services company based in Virginia–is Working Mother Media's primary investor. MCG Capital mainly lends to and invests in small and medium-sized private companies with revenues from $5 million to $200 million within the media, communications, technology, and information services industries.
