Wor-Wic Community College

Wor-Wic Community College is a 2-year institution located in Salisbury, Maryland, offering both credit and continuing education classes for Delmarva residents. It is named after Maryland's Worcester and Wicomico counties. It was founded in 1975, and operated as a "college without walls" in the two counties for 20 years before settling in Salisbury.
Wor-Wic offers associate's degrees and/or certificates of proficiency in the following programs:

Tuition is $70 per credit hour for residents of Wicomico, Worcester, and Somerset counties, $176 per credit hour for other Maryland residents, and $206 per credit hour for out-of-state students. As of the 2004-2005 academic year, there are over 3,000 students enrolled in credit courses, the vast majority of whom come from the tricounty area.
Wor-Wic is popular with students who plan on transferring to Salisbury University because of its proximity, inexpensive tuition, and the similarity of its general education courses to that of Salisbury University's.
