[edit] Grand Strand

Hi there WorkingHard, sorry I couldn't answer sooner (Wife's in the hospital). Anyway, the case is that an article about the tourist atraction Grand Strand already exsists. What I suggest is that you head your article "Grand Strand (T.V. Show)". I'll give you an example, sometimes we have have the case where there are two or more notable people with the same surname. What we do is "Angel Ramos (industrialist)" and "Angel Ramos (educator)". I hope that this answers your question.

  • I'll do it for you then I'll come back and explain. Tony the Marine 23:13, 16 June 2006 (UTC)

    • O.K., I moved "Grand Strand" to Grand Strand (South Carolina) and "The grand strand" to Grand Strand (television show). Then I created a disambiguation page with Grand Strand which will lead the reader to which ever Grand Strand he/she is interested in. Check it out, tell me how it looks, and remember you have a Wiki friend in me. Tony the Marine 23:45, 16 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] An article you worked on proposed for deletion

I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Grand Strand (television show), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Importance). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree, discuss the issues raised at Talk:Grand Strand (television show). If you remove the {{dated prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. --BrownCow • (how now?) 20:25, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Being accused of a Sockpuppet?

You guys are some real idiots, I finally get a username on Wikipedia to post with instead of my ip address and your now saying Im a sock puppet? What freaking chinese moron thought that one up WorkingHard 18:25, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Blocked

You have been blocked from editing Wikipedia for the next 48 hours because of using the words "Chinese moron" in a gross personal attack outburst.. See the block log for more details. If you want to contribute constructively, you may return when the block expires. Thanks. ЯEDVERS 18:45, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Jessica article

I looked into the case. I don't think that you deserved to be called a sockpuppet. As I stated on that page, there is no strong evidence to indicate that you are. I see that you were blocked for saying "Chinese moron". Policy is strict in regard to personal attacks. When I first started in Wiki, I was "Hot-headed" and had some heated encounters. However, name calling here is a no-no and will make you look bad in front of the community.

As I see it, there is a revert war going on in the article that merits the intervention of the Arbitration committee. One of the main things that I noticed is the reverts of verifiable sources which is against policy.

The issue is complicated and a little out of hand. That's way I recommend that you bring it up to the Arbitration committee and let them get the involved parties together to resolve the problem.

If you use AOL, you will have other users with the same "IP'S". If the IP is blocked, it affects all those who use it. The best solution for this problem is to upload "OPERA" (www.opera.com). With Opera as your browser, you will be assigned your own IP address which will work independently of other IP's.

[edit] Your recent edits and issues with Sockpuppets

WorkingHard,

I came across your posting on the Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets page concerning User:Cumberbund. In beginning to review your complaint, I found a number of issues that you will need to address:

  1. Your posting did not follow the instructions on how to report sockpuppets page. Beginning with the first instructions that says to tag the user page, not the user talk page; and also the second instruction that says to follow the link, and insert the given tag on that page. What you have done is put your complaint on the page for another user. I've copied your edit below, for you to have a record of and to use, should you want to resubmit.
  2. In going to your talk page to leave you a message, I found that you had moved your talk page twice, ostensibly because the page was too full and it was an archiving move. However, with the first redirect, you just moved it to a new location, but did not leave your talk page available. Your second move then hid the first move. Please review Wikipedia:How to archive a talk page. In addition, moving your talk page gives the appearance of blanking/trying to hide previous information. However, an editor is not to remove legitimate messages from one's talk page. Talk pages exist as a record of legitimate communication, and in any case, comments are available through the page history. Should you choose to archive your talk page, you need to be sure to provide a link to any deleted legitimate comments. Addendum — I have restored your talk page to allow communication.
  3. Your edits and conflicts with these users: I have found that on August 15, 2006, you put a message on Cumberbund's talk page using the {{test5}} template, indicating that the user had been blocked. In fact, there was no block (easily found by checking the block log). This gives an erroneous impression to other users (that an administrator found a legitimate reason for blocking the user) and to the editor that they cannot edit. Do not put such templates on other's talk pages. It is disruptive.
  • Your sockpuppet report:

I have been on wikipedia for almost 8 months, but dont know about your formatting so exscuse the mess. He is also user Pia_L Both have been "wiki stalking" me for the last 8 months, when Cumberbund is losing a edit war, he jumps onto Pia and vice versa. They both post very personal details inclusding real names, addresses, phone numbers amonsgt other stuff to try and bully people into leaving them alone. This person is a writer, they use their writing ability to very deceptivley make totally innocent persons look totally off the wall. User Cumberbund is an abusive sock puppet only used to make reverts to any edit I make anywhere on wikipedia. Other admins have told me to make a complaint for wikistalking, harrassemtn and pov but it took me almost 2 hours just to find this page. Please check the 2 users ip addresses, I think ypou'll find they are the same, or at the very least 1 or 2 numbwers off (Same ip block) both have admitted to living in the same town, street , city and state. LOOK at their contributions fpor the last week. Cumberbund has been following me for the last 8 months, and then we had arbitration on an issue and when he was losing votes, user Pia suddenly shows up. User cumberbund leaves wikipedia for almost 2 weeks as Pia harwasses me, now suddenly Pia is not editing but Cumberbund is. It's the same person, this has been going on for 8 months now, it's time to get it finished. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Cumberbund http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Cumberbund WorkingHard 06:48, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

If you re-submit your sockpuppet complaint, it will be reviewed by other administrators as well. In the meantime, I will be reviewing the background of the conflict you reported.

Please, do NOT removed this talk page or redirect it. — ERcheck (talk) 10:34, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

  • You must be casterlacast, seeing as you tried to add a page to Wikipedia for Alexis. Well many saw it was a vanity page. She's not nearly experienced enough to be in an encyclopedia, jeez. She hasn't even been in a single movie! Every person on here has at least a movie and one or two tv credits, most of the time even more than that. Wait till she's in more, and then add her, if she ends up being more than a basic actress.

Considering she has a very extensive resume, I'd suggest you re think your actions Christina Ritter. The page WILL be recreated by Jimbo Wales within the week gauranteed. WorkingHard 02:29, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

  • You obviously have no meaning of the word 'extensive'. Congradulations, she's been in one tv show and a couple non-sag commercials. She has a long way to go. Needs at least several more movies. Please take note there were over ten people in agreement that she didn't belong on here. Stop being a stage father, and start being logical.
