Vandalism? What Vandalism? France can be called one of the biggest part of the Alies because of its power and because of the same way cannot be called one of the biggest part of the Axis? Is this not true? --80.55.201.194 12:30, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
- France is a tricky nation to list in these boxes. Basically because of the changing status of governments between France, Free French Forces, and the Vichy France government. I wouldn't call it vandalism, but it is something we should discuss and come to a consensus upon. And this is the place to do it. -- malo (tlk) (cntrbtns) 19:20, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
Brendenhull shouldn't have been so quick to delete such an edit, such crude force of edit-warring without good reason ("reverting vandalism" when it is not) is against wikipedia policy. I would assume that swing states would be confusing for many. If someone is researching France in World War II, they should be provided with obvious indication that France was such a state during the war. In the lead of Vichy France, it should be made clear that France was originally an allied power. In the lead of Free France, it should be made clear that France became an axis force later. drumguy8800 - speak? 12:31, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
- A fix might be placing a two-column width box at the bottom of these two columns with a header 'Swing states' or something like that, if placing France in both columns is really that much of a problem. Besides, they are two separate regimes. drumguy8800 - speak? 12:38, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
