Woodlawn is an elevated station in the Bronx on the New York City Subway's IRT Jerome Avenue Line, currently served by the 4 train. It is the northern terminal of the line. There are two abandoned side platforms, which were used in the past to unload passengers while the center platform was used to load passengers in a style similar to Pelham Bay Park and other Bronx IRT terminals. There are old style signs on the center platform. The mezzanine is brick.
The station opened June 2, 1917. It was known for many years as Woodlawn Road, although there is no street with that name. Woodlawn refers to the name of the neighborhood but is most often associated with Woodlawn Cemetery which is across the street from the station.
