WONE-FM is an FM radio station in Akron, Ohio operating at 97.5 MHz. It is owned by Rubber City Radio Group, Inc. which also owns Akron's WAKR and WQMX and Lansing's WJXQ, WQTX, WJZL and WVIC. The station's main format is that of classic rock as well as more modern rock hits. Its transmitter is located in Akron.
The station signed on the air in 1948 as WAKR-FM and was Akron's first FM radio station. It was co-owned with WAKR (AM). It changed to WAEZ in the late 1960s, and became WONE-FM on January 1, 1985 when its owner Group One Broadcasting obtained permission to share the WONE call sign of its sister station WONE (AM) in Dayton.
