Woman FIDE Master

Woman FIDE Master (WFM) is a chess title awarded by the World Chess Federation FIDE. Restricted to women players, it is the lowest-ranking of the three women's titles awarded by FIDE, which are:

  1. Woman Grandmaster (WGM)
  2. Woman International Master (WIM)
  3. Woman FIDE Master (WFM)

The requirements for the WFM title are easier than those for the lowest-ranking unrestricted title, FIDE Master (FM).

The July 2005 FIDE rating list records over 600 women holding the WFM title.
