Wolgast

Wolgast (Polish: Wołogoszcz) is a German town in the district of Ostvorpommern, in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, on the bank of the river Peene (12,725 inhabitants in December 2004). The town is opposite the island of Usedom, which can be accessed by road and railway by a bascule bridge.
