Wojtek (pronounced 'Voy-tec'), 1942 - 1962, was a Syrian (Brown) Bear cub adopted by men of the 22 kompania Zaopartrywania Artylerii ('2nd. Artillery Support Company'). During the Battle of Monte Cassino, Wojtek helped to move ammunition.
