WODJ
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
WODJ was an Oldies station in the market of Grand Rapids, Michigan, broadcasting on 107.3 FM. It featured hits from the 50s, 60s and 70s. The station was an active part in the landscape of West Michigan broadcasting for over a decade.
WODJ took part in community events, such as the Grand Center Boat Show, which took place at the Grand Center in downtown Grand Rapids.
The station featured the syndicated Dick Clark documentary series entitled "Rock, Roll and Remember", which aired on Sunday afternoons.

WODJ FM went off the air on October 11, 2004 and was replaced by the modern rock station WKLQ, which had moved up the dial from 94.5 (which debuted a country format as "Thunder" WTNR). The dominant oldies station in Grand Rapids is currently 98.7 WFGR[1], a former classical music station that moved to Oldies in October 2004, according to MichiGuide.com.
The WODJ calls, meanwhile, are still being used by Citadel Communications (the last owners of the original WODJ-FM, who still own 107.3 as WKLQ) on talk-radio station 1490 AM in Whitehall, Michigan. After the original WODJ-FM was displaced by WKLQ, Citadel also parked the WODJ calls on its construction permit for 92.5 FM in Newaygo, Michigan, which eventually went on the air as WKOQ (a simulcast of WKLQ) and is now "Outlaw Country" WLAW-FM.
