WOCL

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

WOCL is an FM radio station broadcasting at the frequency of 105.9 in Orlando, Florida. Known colloquially as "O-Rock," the station can be heard not only in the Orlando area, but also as far away as the Space Coast, Brevard County, and the eastern shores of Central Florida, to the north the station can be heard up to Palatka, about 1 hour south of Jacksonville in Putnam County.

This radio station adheres to the New Rock/Alternative format. Like most of the stations that follow this format, however, the majority of the songs they play are actually from the 1990's. Indeed "O-Rock" often dedicates entire weekends to playing "Old School Alternative" songs (songs from the 1990's).

O-Rock competes with WJRR on 101.1 FM. O-Rock trails WJRR in current Arbitron ratings, 1.8 to 4.6.
