The WNBA Defensive Player of the Year Award is an annual award given by the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) to the WNBA player who has had the most outstanding defensive performance league wide during a specific season. The winner of the award is determined by a vote of a panel of sportswriters and broadcasters.
