WLMO-LP is a low-power television station in Lima, Ohio, serving the Lima market as a CBS affiliate on Channel 38. WLMO was a full-time repeater of sister-station WOHL-CA, but became a CBS affiliate in 2002. WLMO currently airs a 35 minute newscast at 11:00 PM weekdays.
WLMO also carries America One programming on a secondary basis, an affiliation they share with co-owned ABC affiliate WLQP-LP.
After picking up the CBS affiliation, WLMO fought an uphill battle with cable operator Time Warner. Time Warner initially refused to carry WLMO on the Lima, Ohio cable system, due to the presence of two other CBS affiliates on the system: WHIO-TV in Dayton and WBNS-TV in Columbus. With WLMO being a low-powered station with no support from any full-powered stations, Time Warner was not obligated to carry the station, as "must-carry" regulations do not apply to low-powered stations, regardless of affiliation. However, on March 29, 2006 Time Warner added the station to several of their local cable systems[1], including Lima, Cridersville and Wapakoneta.
