WLGA is a television station in Opelika, Alabama. The channel is affiliated with The CW and broadcasts on UHF channel 66. Its studios are located in Opelika, with its transmitter located in Cusseta, Georgia.

The station was founded in 1979 as WSWS -- but was finally granted a commercial license on May 29, 1980. WSWS carried programming from the Financial News Network in the early 1980s.

Channel 66 was WSWS until a call letter change to WLGA was approved by the FCC and went into effect on June 27, 2005. The "WSWS" calls now reside on sister station WSWS-CA, the ABC affiliate in North Platte, Nebraska.

WLGA is owned by Pappas Telecasting and serves the East Alabama and Western Georgia markets, which are split by a time zone.

Previous owners prior to Pappas were Warden, Inc., RCH Broadcasting, and Christian Television Network (CTN). It has been an independent, The WB, CTN and Pax station over the years, before flipping to UPN. Beginning in September 2006 the station joined The CW as an affiliate when UPN merged with The WB network.
