WJKP-LP is a future television station located in Corning, New York, which will become the MyNetwork TV affiliate for the Corning-Elmira area. The station will broadcast on channel 39. WJKP-LP is owned by Vision Communications which owns WYDC, the Fox affiliate for Elmira, and WBGT-CA, the MyNetwork TV affliate in Rochester, New York.
Due to the delayed sign-on, MyNetworkTV programming has aired since the network's launch in late nights on WYDC in the interim. As of September 2006, it is not known when WJKP-LP will sign on. According to the MyNetwork TV website, the station will be simulcast on a digital subchannel of WYDC-DT to increase its reach.
