Witthüser & Westrupp

Witthüser & Westrupp was a legendary German folkrock duo. Bernd Witthueser (born 29 April, 1944), guit.,mandol. and Walter Westrupp (12 February, 1946) guit, ukulele, trombone, harmonium, psalter and a lot of other instruments (30) - this two guys went together in June 1969 in "W&W's pop cabaret" singing German texts in a very special way. In 1970 they changed the name to "Witthueser & Westrupp" and made music together until 1973.

In this time they had a lot af concerts in clubs, churches, music halls, and at festivals. They produced four studio LPs, a live LP, and 4 singles. Some of their songs were well known in the German hit-parades, and in 1971 they were on the 3rd place of the German music poll.

Their discography: Lieder von Nonnen, Toten und Vampiren (1970), Trips & Träume (1971), Der Jesuspilz (1971), Bauer Plath (1972), Live 1973.

They worked together with Sergius Golowien and Walter Wegmüller, have had sessions with a lot of German musicians. Bernd Witthueser is living in Italy, working as street musician BÄRNELLI in Europe.
