Withington Girls' School
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Withington Girls' School is an independent daytime school for girls. It is situated in Fallowfield, Manchester, United Kingdom. It has approximately 550 girls, with approximately 150 of those in it's 6th form.
It was founded in 1890 by a group of far-sighted Manchester-based business-men and -women, who wanted as good an education for their daughters as was already available for their sons. The names of these founders are now the names of the four houses at the school-Herford, Simon, Scott and Lejeune.
