State Trunk Highway 31 (often called Highway 31, STH 31 or WIS 31) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. It runs north-south as a suburban route passing Racine and Kenosha.

Highway 31 is named Green Bay Road from the Illinois state line to its junction with Ole Davidson Road in Caledonia. The section, named after the historic route connecting Chicago, Illinois with Milwaukee and Green Bay, has been upgraded to four-lane divided highway for the entire length. Ole Davidson Road has been upgraded to a divided highway from the split with North Green Bay Road to Four Mile Road.

[edit] Future Plans

In 2006, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation announced that the two-lane section of WIS 31 would be closed between Four Mile and Six Mile Road to reconstruct the intersection at Four Mile and improve the highway to Six Mile. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2007. All but the last 300 yards or so of Highway 31 would then be multi-lane highway.
