WIRE-CA is a low-power television station in metro Atlanta. Broadcasting on channel 40, programming consists entirely of MTV2, one of the few cable networks that can be seen over the air. As WIRE-LP (before the upgrade to class A), like most over-the-air MTV2 affiliates, it was an affiliate of The Box until that network's acquisition by Viacom in 2001.

It was originally assigned W13CQ on channel 13 in May of 1992, but its construction permit expired in December 1993 without being built. It came back again as W40BI on channel 40, assigned in August 1995. It went on the air the following year in September as WIRE-LP, and became WIRE-CA in September 2001.

Currently at 14 kW at a location near Georgia 400 in northeast Atlanta, it has a permit to move somewhat southeast toward Druid Hills, and increase power to 150 kW. The old antenna has a null to the west, however the new omnidirectional antenna will cover most of the core metro area. It is unknown whether the programming will change.
