Winlaton is a villiage situated in the Tyne and Wear area, and is a close community. However, some teenagers have given the name a bad reputation. The villiage has many different qualities, such as being near Newcastle and Gateshead, the local primary schools and the quality housing estates provided in the area. There are also several churches. However, these are mainly of Christian denominations.
