Winkies Castle

Winkies Castle is the oldest house in Marske-by-the-Sea, North Yorkshire, England dating back to the 17th century. It was saved from being demolished by a former cobbler, Jack Anderson, in 1968 who turned it into a community museum and bequeathed it to Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council.
The house's name comes from a cat,named Winkie, who once lived there. The museum has over 6,000 articles; including a two-headed lamb who is called "Bill and Ben".
The house has rotating exhibitions, the current exhibition is focused on the Seaside.
