Windom is a city in McPherson County, Kansas, United States. The population was 137 at the 2000 census.

Windom is located at 38°22′59″N, 97°54′34″W (38.383012, -97.909492)GR1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.6 km² (0.2 sq. mi.). 0.6 km² (0.2 sq. mi.) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 137 people, 62 households, and 39 families residing in the city. The population density was 220.4/km² (562.8/sq. mi.). There were 74 housing units at an average density of 119.0/km² (304.0/sq. mi.). The racial makeup of the city was 95.62% White, 1.46% from other races, and 2.92% from two or more races.

There were 62 households out of which 21.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.5% were married couples living together, 3.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 35.5% were non-families. 32.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 14.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.21 and the average family size was 2.78.

In the city the population was spread out with 21.9% under the age of 18, 5.8% from 18 to 24, 25.5% from 25 to 44, 27.7% from 45 to 64, and 19.0% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 42 years. For every 100 females there were 85.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 98.1 males.

The median income for a household in the city was $35,833, and the median income for a family was $38,125. Males had a median income of $31,875 versus $18,750 for females. The per capita income for the city was $17,240. There were 7.1% of families and 11.1% of the population living below the poverty line, including 19.4% of under eighteens and none of those over 64.
