Windlass Steelcrafts, located in Dehra Dun, India, was founded in 1943 by V.P. Windlass to originally manufacture Gurkha Kukris for the British Army. Since this time, Windlass Steelcrafts has expanded their production to include the manufacture of historically-accurate swords, armor, and clothing items. Windlass Steelcrafts is reported to maintain a ISO 9001 rating, although critics widely dispute the overall quality of their products when compared to other historical-based weaponry and armor manufacturers. Windlass Steelcrafts distributes their products in the United States though Atlanta Cutlery Corporation and Museum Replicas Limited , both of which are located in Conyers, Georgia.
