[edit] History
WIN TV was originally known as Global TV, a service of the HCU Communications Group. It was set to launch since May 2006, but arrangements were made between HCU and Jaikaransingh, and a licence agreement was agreed between both parties.
The station was prevented from launching in September 2006, after HCU Communications registered a High Court injunction to prevent it from broadcasting. The matter is currently pending.
[edit] Programming
WIN TV is expected to feature a large percentage of Trinidad and Toabgo local oriented programming, including comedy shows, news magazine features, cooking programmes, home decorating tips, lifestyle choices and women's issues. Additionally, the station has forged links with international distribution agencies to share and carry content in the North American and Indian markets.
[edit] News and Current Affairs
WIN TV has reported that it will place great emphasis on news programming. News presenter Anne-Marie Ganese is expected to front the station's news broadcasts.
