Stolen from Winnipeg and Winnipeg Jets history. I personally believe that the white out is something that should remain a Winnipeg trademark. Seeing it in Tampa and Anaheim made me sick. But the worst was in Phoenix.

[edit] This article should be renamed

The White Out is so common in sports now that I believe this article should be renamed Whiteout (sports) or something like that. The first section could be about how it started in Winnipeg, and then other sections about how it has spread. I think the first non-hockey usage was by Texas A&M in football against Oklahoma.
