The Windham wrestling family was started when the patriarch, Blackjack Mulligan (real name Robert Joseph Windham) started wrestling. His sons, Barry Windham and Kendall Windham, also became professional wrestlers. Mike Rotunda is married to Mulligan's daughter Stephanie. Mulligan's nephew, Chip Stetson, is also a wrestler. He is the cousin of Barry and Kendall.

John Layfield was once billed as the cousin of Barry and Kendall in the Global Wrestling Federation, but this "relationship" existed solely in kayfabe.
