Wilson da Silva Piazza

Wilson da Silva Piazza , surnamed Piazza, (born February 25, 1943 in Ribeirão das Neves), was a football (soccer) player from Brazil. He played centre-back, in particular with Cruzeiro E.C. and the Brazilian national team. He won the World Cup 1970.

With Cruzeiro E.C. he won ten times the Campeonato Mineiro (Minas Gerais State championship), as well as the Copa Libertadores, Campeonato Brasileiro Série A (Brazilian championship) and Copa do Brasil (Brazilian Cup).

He played 487 games with Cruzeiro E.C. and scored 112 goals.

Piazza has 66 caps (14 non official) with the Brazilian national team., his first one in June 1970.

He was a member of the Brazilian national team that won the World Cup 1970. He played also during the World Cup 1974.

He received the "Brazilian Bola de Prata" (Brazilian Silver Ball) award in 1972.
