Wilshire/Western is the Westernmost stop on the Wilshire branch of the Los Angeles County Metro Rail Red Line, located at the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and Western Avenue. It has an island platform. From here the line was supposed to be extended further into The Westside; out to the Pacific Ocean in Santa Monica. While current laws prevent further subway construction, the MTA is looking for ways to get around this.

The two artwork installations at Wilshire/Western are called "People Coming", and the other "People Going". They are large murals at each end of the station. The artist responsible is Richard Wyatt, a Compton native.
