Wilmington, Kent

Wilmington is a village in Kent, England, in the Borough of Dartford.
Its most famous landmark is the St Michael and All Angels Church.
There are three secondary schools within the parish: Wilmington Grammar School for Boys (WGSB) who wear blue blazers, white shirts, grey trousers and different ties for each house within the school (Cray, Dartford, School, Thames and, in one year, Wilmington). The Grammar School for Girls, Wilmington (GSGW), who wear maroon, and Wilmington Enterprise College (formerly Wilmington Hall), who wear navy, Polo neck T-Shirts. School buses can be taken to get to each of these. Wilmington Hall and Wilmington boys are situated next to each other. Wilmington Hall was built in the mid 1970's and was built upon Wilmington Hall Manor. Wilmington Grammar School for Boys recently acquired engineering specialist status, whereas The Grammar School for Girls Wilmington specialise in Maths and IT.
There is one primary school and a nursery next to Wilmington Hall/ Wilmington boys.
The village has one shop and four pubs , The Orange Tree , The Plough, The Foresters and The Horse and Groom.
Wilmington is most famous for being the childhood home of Mick Jagger lead singer with the Rolling Stones. Also Keith Richards, guitarist with the Rolling Stones attended Wilmington Grammar School for Boys.
Wilmington is twinned with Bray-et-Lû, France.
