Willington, Cheshire

Willington is a village in Cheshire, about 5 miles from Chester. The place-name means "village of a woman called Winflǣd", from the Old English personal name Winflǣd + tun "farm, village". The name was recorded as Winfeltorne in 1187. This name is not a true "-ington", meaning "estate associated with x"
