Willie Carson

Willie Carson (16 November 1942) is Scottish and a former jockey. He was born in Stirling. He was British Champion Jockey five times (1972, 1973, 1978, 1980 and 1983), won seventeen UK classic races, had 23 centuries and a total of 3,828 wins in the UK, making him the fourth most successful jockey [1].

Carson is now a co-presenter on the BBC horse racing along with Clare Balding.

He is currently the Chairman of Swindon Town FC.
