Williams Martínez

Williams Martínez (born December 18, 1982 at Montevideo) is a Uruguayan footballer currently on loan at the FA Premier League club West Bromwich Albion from the Uruguayan club Defensor Sporting.

A Defender, Martínez signed for Albion in January 2006 till the end of the season in May and made his Premier League debut as a half-time substitute against Fulham F.C. at Craven Cottage on February 11, 2006, a 6-1 defeat. He scored his first goal for the English club on May 7, 2006, an away game at Everton F.C., also his first start for the club, but was also to concede a late penalty that gave Everton a 2-2 draw.
