William Reid (born 28 October 1958 in Glasgow, Scotland) was the guitarist for the Scottish alternative rock band, The Jesus and Mary Chain.

William, along with his brother Jim, the lead singer, formed the (at times unstable) core of the band during its fourteen-year career. The early sound of the JAMC was defined by Reid's exceptionally distorted and feedback laden guitar work, often using the Shin-ei Companion FY-2 fuzz box to get his unique fuzz sound. William effectively ended the JAMC in late 1998 when he walked off stage fifteen minutes into a show at the House of Blues. After the band split up for good in 1999, William began performing solo under the name, Lazycame. Reid has also been involved in the production of the Sister Vanilla album, Little Pop Rock.

Currently residing in the United States, Reid has one son with his wife, Dawn.
