William Gerry Myers III is a nominee to the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. His nomination has constantly been filibustered by Democrats, who have expressed that they believe he is too unfriendly to the environment to be confirmed. Although the compromise reached by the "Gang of 14" guaranteed certain appointments up or down votes, Myers and Henry Saad were expressly reserved from these.
