William Mansfield, 1st Viscount Sandhurst

William Mansfield, 1st Viscount of Sandhurst PC (August 21, 1855–November 2, 1921) was a British statesman, the son of William Mansfield, 1st Baron Sandhurst.

Mansfield became 2nd Baron Sandhurst upon the death of his father in 1876. In the House of Lords he began a ministerial career, and later served as Governor of Bombay. He married, firstly, Lady Victoria Spencer, daughter of Frederick Spencer, 4th Earl Spencer, on 20 July 1881. They had two children, who both died in infancy:

• Hon. John Robert Mansfield (b. 4 September 1882–5 September 1882)
• Hon. Elizabeth Mansfield (b. 9 June 1884–17 October 1884)

He married secondly, Eleanor Arnold, on 5 July 1909.

Lord Sandhurst died in 1921, aged 66 and childless. His viscountcy became extinct but his barony was inherited by his brother, John Mansfield.
