William Jonsson

William Jonsson (b. 1984) is a Canadian student and left-wing politician. He has studied business and criminology at Kwantlen University College and Douglas College. In 2005, he unsuccessfully sought the nomination as the New Democratic Party of British Columbia candidate in the constituency of Delta South. Later, he was nominated as the New Democratic Party candidate in the riding of Delta—Richmond East for the 2006 federal election, placing third behind the Liberal and Conservative candidates.
Jonsson's platform included support for electoral reform and anti-crime measures. He was opposed to the Newfoundland seal hunt, despite his own party's different stance.
He is a co-founder of the online political journal The Long Walk.
