[edit] History

[edit] Mascot
The school's official mascot is Polaris, the North Star. However, Horlick is probably better known by their unofficial mascot, the Rebel Yeller. The change is rumored to have occured in the mid-1900s when the boy's basketball coach Reb (Surname), piloted the Horlick team to a winning season. At that point, the team became known as Reb's Rebels. Since then, there has been controversy over the mascot due to the implications construed by disassociated visual similarities to the Confederate States of America.
