[edit] I-91 and the William Floyd

Had the Shoreham-New Haven Bridge been built, the William Floyd Parkway would have been given to the NYSDOT in exchange for NY 25A. The NYSDOT was then to upgrade this roadway to interstate standards in anticipation of the I-91 designation. These plans were dropped in the 1970s.
