William Dellinger

William "Bill" Dellinger (b. March 23, 1934 in Grants Pass, Oregon) was a three time Olympian. He won a bronze medal in the 5000 meters at Tokyo in 1964. After retiring, he was an assistant coach to Bill Bowerman at the University of Oregon. He became head coach after Bowerman's retirement in 1972. In 25 years as coach, Dellinger won 5 NCAA titles, coached 108 All Americans, and had a 134-29 meet record.
