William Bingham Compton, 6th Marquess of Northampton DSO (August 6, 1885 - 30 January 1978), born to William George Spencer Scott and Mary Florence Baring (daughter of William Bingham Baring and .. born 1860 (died 1902). Mary was the sole heir to her father (a half brother born in 1829 died in 1831 aged 15 months), William Bingham Baring died in 1864 when his daughter was just four years old.
