William Broad

William J. Broad is a U.S. journalist and author of at least 3 books. [1] William J. Broad writes about science topics for The New York Times newspaper and has twice shared the Pulitzer Prize with colleagues. Covering topics such as outer space, William Broad has worked at the Times newspaper since 1983 and has written concerning science topics for over two decades, receiving major journalistic prizes in the field. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, William has studied the history of science at the University of Wisconsin. He is the author of the books "Teller's War: The Top-Secret Story Behind the Star Wars Deception" (1992), "Star Warriors : A Penetrating Look into the Lives of the Young Scientists Behind Our Space Age Weaponry" (1985), which covers X-ray lasers in the Strategic Defense Initiative, and "Betrayers of the Truth: Fraud and Deceit in the Halls of Science" (2003). He lives with his wife and three children in the city of Larchmont, New York.
