William Beckwith McInnes (May 18, 1889 - November 9, 1939), was a famous Australian portrait painter (although he did paint landscapes as well). He won the Archibald Prize multiple times for his traditional style paintings. He won in consecutive years from 1921 to 1924, as well as 1926, 1930, and 1936. He also won the Wynne Prize in 1918 with The Grey Road. His artwork has been featured at the Art Gallery of South Australia. In addition, McInnes has painted a variety of important people in Australian history including officials and aristocrat families.
