William B. Travis High School

William B. Travis High School is located in south Austin, Texas and is named after William B. Travis. As of March 2005, there are over 1,700 students enrolled. The school was built in 1953. The mascot is the Rebel, and their school's colors are red and grey. The Navy JR ROTC program at THS is the largest ROTC program in Austin. Travis High School has been selected as a mentor school by the Texas Education Agency.
