William Ashe ( -1862)

William Ashe (____-1862) was a Confederate soldier in the American Civil War; and a son of John B. and Eliza (Hay) Ashe. William was also a grandson of Samuel Ashe (1725-1813), the governor of North Carolina. William was killed at Shiloh in 1862.[1] William's brother, Samuel Swann Ashe, was also on the field at Shiloh.[1]
