William Alvord (January 3, 1833 - December 21, 1904)
William Alvord was born on January 3, 1833 in Albany, NY. Became the 14th Mayor of San Francisco serving from December 4, 1871 to November 30, 1873. Died on December 21, 1904 in San Francisco, California of heart failure due to bronchial troubles.
