William A. Henry III

William A. Henry III (1950-1994) was an American cultural critic and author.

Henry won a Pulitzer Prize as a television critic for the Boston Globe. Later he wrote cultural criticism for Time Magazine. As an author he wrote a series of books, perhaps most notably In Defense of Elitism, his final book: he died as it was coming to press.
