William A. Barrett

William Aloysius Barrett (August 14, 1896 - April 12, 1976) was an American politician and a member of the Democratic Party.

He was born in Philadelphia, PA. He graduated from St. Joseph’s College in Philadelphia. He worked for a number of years in real estate before running for office.

He was first elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1944. He lost the 1946 election, but was elected again in 1948 and continued to serve until his death on April 12, 1976.
