Wild Wurger

Wild Wuerger is a fictional giant robot from the Japanese video game series Super Robot Wars. It has appeared in the Super Robot Wars Alpha 2 and Alpha 3. It has also appeared in Original Generation 2.

The Wild Wuerger is a lean humanoid machine covered in mostly purple armor with certain areas of the body being colored gray and white. The cockpit hatch is designated by being colored red.

[edit] Technical and historical

The Wild Wuerger was a new Personal Trooper developed by Mao Industries as a high-speed close combat unit intended for engaging in melee- to mid-range combat. This machine is like a cousin to the Alt Eisen in many ways since they both seem to be similar in the way they are meant to be utilized in combat as well as the way their weapon layout is designated. This machine would be called the PTX-015 (alternatively, the PTX-015-R) Wild Wuerger ("Wuerger" is German for Shrike, a bird of prey).

Wild Wuerger utilizes a ball cartridge for its weapons that use solid rounds. It also utilizes a Telsa Drive to maintain flight. Much of the armor on the Wild Wuerger is known as "Jacket Armor". This armor can be "purged" (ejected) in order to activate the High Mobility Mode. In this mode, a pair of strong cutting wings on the backpack can be released to unleash the Wild Wuerger's best maneuver, the Victim Beak.

In Super Robot Wars Alpha 2, while Arad Balanga is engaging in combat with his former unit of Titans along with Neo Zeon (two factions from the famed Gundam saga), Retsuel Feinschmecker and Viletta Badam appear with the new Wild Wurger unit and give it to him for his use. In Original Generation 2, while Arad is engaging in combat with his former unit of the Neue Divine Crusaders, his machine is badly damaged. His teammates arrive with the Wild Wuerger, however, and he transfers to this new machine. Arad would utilize this weapon for the rest of the war. When close friend and comrade Seolla Schweitzer would defect from the Titans (or Divine Crusaders in Original Generation 2), she would join Arad in her unit, the Wild Falken. The Wild Falken is the partner unit of the Wild Wuerger. Together, they can perform the Twin Bird Strike attack, a synchronized battle formation.

Mao Industries had additionally created a second Wild Wuerger unit, the PTX-015-L Wild Wuerger L. This unit is colored red rather than purple. It is essentially the same unit.

Weapon Systems:

• 3-Barrel Gattling Cannon
  Wild Wuerger fires the three-barrel gattling gun cannons on the left arm.

• M90 Assault Machinegun
  This assault rifle is made for quick hit and run strikes. It has a grenade lancher on the bottom of it.

• Cold Metal Sword
  This is a metal blade stored in the left arm and is to be used by the right hand. It can cut through metal with ease.

• Stag Beetle Crusher
  This two-prong crushing weapon that mimics a stag beetle's crusher is mounted on the right arm. It can be used as a smacking weapon, and of course, as a crushing tool.

• Victim Beak
  The Wild Wuerger can purge all of its jacket armor and expand its wings to enter its high mobility mode. It can then fly back and forth by the enemy using the wings to deal cutting attacks. The culmination of high speed attacks can deal massive amounts of damage.

• Twin Bird Strike
  The Wild Wuerger can purge its jacket armor and the Wild Falken can activate its TBS Mode so they can perform this coordinated attack.
