Wilbert Suvrijn

Wilbert Suvrijn (born October 26, 1962 in Sittard, Limburg) is a former football midfielder from the Netherlands, who earned nine caps for the Netherlands national football team. He was a member of the Dutch team that won the European title at the 1988 European Football Championship in West Germany under manager Rinus Michels.
Suvrijn made his debut for Holland on April 29, 1986, in a friendly match against Scotland (0-0) as a replacement for Michel Valke. During his professional career Suvrijn played for Fortuna Sittard (1981-86), Roda JC (1986-89) and in France, for Montpellier HSC (1989-93). After his career he stayed close related to France and became an antiquarian.
